KIAEMA REID is a Senior Regulatory Analyst for Porzio Pharmaceutical Services, LLC. She is a member of the core team responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting Porzio AggregateSpendID, PPS’s automated tool for the collation and reporting of marketing expenses. In this role, Ms. Reid serves as a primary customer contact and assists in the configuration and implementation of the system.
As a member of PPS’s regulatory team, Ms. Reid assists with compliance audits and provides guidance on marketing codes of conduct, the preparation of state and federal compliance reports, lobbyist registration and disclosure, and pharmaceutical detailer licensure. She is heavily involved in the development of state reporting protocols and the preparation and filing of sales and marketing disclosure reports. She has also worked on customer-specific projects, including assistance with creating aggregate spend compliance and field representative training programs, and the development of aggregate spend work instructions and standard operating procedures.
Ms. Reid previously served on the team responsible for updating and maintaining PPS’s Transparency & Limitations Database, an essential component of the Porzio Compliance Digest and Porzio AggregateSpendID. While overseeing the regulatory analyst database team, Ms. Reid developed a thorough understanding of the state and federal laws affecting life sciences sales and marketing practices.
Ms. Reid co-authored, “The End or Just the Beginning? Exploring Federal Preemption of State Marketing and Distribution Laws,” published in Pharmaceutical Commerce on February 22, 2009, and “Sunny Side Up: A New Era of State and Federal Aggregate Spend and Marketing Disclosure Laws,” Chapter 10 – The HealthCare Compliance Handbook, pending publication. In October 2011, she co-presented, “Meeting New Transparency Requirements and Implementing a Scalable Aggregate Spend System," an FX Audio Conference.
Ms. Reid received a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Jurisprudence at Seton Hall Law.
