SARAH M. CANBERG is a Compliance Associate with Porzio Pharmaceutical Services, LLC. In this role, Ms. Canberg collaborates with other PPS staff to assist in the creation and development of new PPS products and services and to update and manage the content of PPS existing products and services. Ms. Canberg is also an associate of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. and a member of the firm’s Pharmaceutical Marketing and Sales Compliance Department.
In her capacity with the law firm, Ms. Canberg counsels life sciences companies on a variety of compliance-related issues, including federal and state fraud and abuse laws, FDA promotional regulations, marketing disclosure and aggregate spend matters, industry standards regarding healthcare professional interactions, and sample compliance. She develops compliance programs for companies governing the sale and marketing of drugs and devices and the distribution of samples under federal and state law. Further, she performs audits, gap analyses, and risk assessments for life sciences industry leaders. Ms. Canberg is also a contributor to Porzio’s Pharmaspective® blog, which discusses emerging trends and issues impacting the life sciences industry.
Ms. Canberg received a J.D. from Pace University School of Law, where she served as Case Note and Comment Editor for the Pace Law Review and the Chair of the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. She earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies and Public Policy from Sarah Lawrence College.
